Survey: The Best OVD Producers

Ophthalmic viscosurgical devices (OVDs) play an important role in the development of new approaches to surgery. Knowledge of the new techniques and advances in new OVDs is crucial to performing routine and complicated surgeries.

In this regard; Ophthalmology Breaking News (OBN) is proud to unveil the results of its first survey about Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Devices (OVDs). 

447 ophthalmologists across Europe joined the survey, and voted for the leading OVD-producing companies and brands, which they think are the best in terms of quality, product accessibility and price-performance ratio.

This survey was conducted among Ophthalmologists who have used all brands, such as; Eyefill (Bausch + Lomb), Healon (Johnson & Johnson), Protectalon (VSY Biotechnology), Provisc (Alcon) and Visthesia (Zeiss) in the last 3 years. The question of the survey was  "Which brand comes to your mind first?  

The answers are as follows:

The first question was about the quality of the products.

The second question was about the accessibility of the products.

The last question was about the price - performance ratio.
