Bausch + Lomb and Glaucoma Research Foundation Unveil 'Faces of Glaucoma' Campaign

January 04, 2024

Bausch + Lomb and the Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF) have introduced the "Faces of Glaucoma" campaign, aiming to showcase a variety of patient stories and enhance awareness about the global issue of glaucoma, the second leading cause of blindness. This initiative is scheduled to continue throughout January, coinciding with Glaucoma Awareness Month.

Throughout January, Bausch + Lomb and GRF will share educational materials and patient narratives, encouraging individuals to prioritize their eye health. Moreover, marking its third consecutive year, the campaign will include a fundraising challenge, matching every dollar raised, up to $20,000, to support GRF's research efforts toward a potential cure for glaucoma.

“This year’s campaign will showcase the resilience of individuals living with glaucoma and highlight that anyone, regardless of background, age or gender can be impacted by this potentially sight-threatening disease,” Andrew Stewart, president, Global Pharmaceuticals and International Consumer, Bausch + Lomb, said in a company news release.

"By casting a spotlight on the various faces of glaucoma, we hope to create a deeper understanding of the broad range of individuals impacted while reminding people that paying attention to their vision by visiting an eye care provider annually can help preserve their vision for life," said Thomas M. Brunner, president & CEO, Glaucoma Research Foundation.
