Alcon Launches Experience Academy (AEA) App

February 21, 2023

Alcon has introduced the Alcon Experience Academy (AEA) app to enhance the digital learning experience of eye care professionals (ECPs). The app enables customers to access AEA's educational and training resources easily. It is a customizable platform that provides ECPs with courses in 17 languages at different levels. Additionally, the app has introduced new features such as podcasts and discussion forums on pertinent eye care topics.

“We recognize ECPs increasingly rely on their mobile devices to get the information they need on the go,” Rustin Floyd, Global Director, Healthcare Practitioner Education and KOL Management, Alcon, said in a company news release. “With that in mind, there is no better way to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of our flagship AEA training program than by making the invaluable education it provides as accessible as possible.”

Alcon operates nine Alcon Experience Centers worldwide, in addition to 26 training centers and 42 wet labs. These facilities offer comprehensive eye health education and hands-on experiential learning opportunities. Alcon has recently launched a new tool called the Fidelis VR Ophthalmic Surgical Simulator, which is designed to be portable and immerse cataract surgeons in a virtual, high-fidelity operating room. This tool allows users to access Alcon's latest surgical innovations from any location.

The Alcon Experience Academy app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. For more information about the Alcon Experience Academy’s online presence, visit AlconExperienceAcademy.com.
