Topcon Healthcare has announced a strategic investment in Senseye, a company pioneering a mental health diagnostic platform that utilizes ocular biomarkers. While the financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, this marks a significant step in expanding Topcon’s “Healthcare from the Eye” vision into the fields of mental health and neuropsychiatry.

Senseye’s AI-Powered Mental Health Diagnostics

Senseye’s platform applies artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision to analyze pupil dynamics and eye movement captured using a standard smartphone camera. These measurements are converted into validated digital biomarkers that can support the diagnosis and monitoring of:

• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

By focusing on ocular signals, Senseye offers a non-invasive, accessible, and objective alternative to conventional mental health evaluations.
