With a one-year term ahead, Thompson is determined to enhance the organization’s peer-to-peer educational initiatives. These programs are pivotal in equipping doctors with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver superior patient care globally. "I am super excited to be a part of this look back to honor those who came before us who helped lay the foundation of our great profession," Thompson expressed to a Sioux Falls Business report. He further emphasized his enthusiasm for guiding current and future ophthalmologists through the evolving challenges and opportunities within the field.
