CooperVision Initiates Recall of Biofinity Sphere Contact Lenses in Specific Lots

CooperVision has initiated a recall of specific lots of their Biofinity sphere monthly disposable contact lenses due to the presence of foreign particles found in a limited number of blisters. The recall specifically applies to the -7.00 diopter products with the following product lot numbers:

● 12908050243028

● 12908050254028

● 12908050265028

To identify the affected products, the product lot number can be found on the back of the carton (figure 1) and blister foil (figure 2) as illustrated below: [Figures not provided in the prompt]

In Singapore, a total of 11,868 units of the affected lens have been distributed. As of now, the Health Sciences Authority has not received any adverse event reports linked to the affected contact lenses.

Consumers are strongly advised against using the products from the affected lots.
