The 2020 World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) will be a virtual conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Council of Ophthalmology announced April 1. The physical meeting was to be held June 26-29 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Organizers said the program will still include more than 2 thousand presentations by leaders and experts, and networking opportunities will be provided in the form of live streaming events from corporate partners, industry symposia, and more. All those who are already registered for the WOC2020 meeting will automatically be transferred to WOC2020 Virtual®. Those who have overpaid based on the new lower registration fees will be reimbursed for the difference. Anyone wishing to cancel will receive a full refund.
