TECNIS® 20th Anniversary Art Auction – Johnson & Johnson Vision
2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the first launch of TECNIS® and we are celebrating the occasion through a philanthropic artwork auction with artwork created voluntarily by the surgeons who use and believe in the TECNIS® platform and promise.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the first launch of Tecnis and Johnson & Johnson Vision is celebrating the occasion through a philanthropic artwork auction with artwork created voluntarily by the surgeons who use the Tecnis platform.
Six noted Ophthalmologists across Canada were asked to express in a visual art form, “What TECNIS® means to you” and this auction is a result of donations of their artistic masterpieces. 100% of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).
Statement from CNIB
“Congratulations Johnson & Johnson on this exciting milestone anniversary of launching TECNIS® Intra-Ocular Lenses and thank you for choosing CNIB as the beneficiary of the celebratory art auction. At CNIB, we believe everyone impacted by blindness deserves to have an equal chance to realize their dreams. This is why we are taking bold steps to boost participation in the world of work, unleash the power of technology and drive achievement and equality by smashing the stigma and barriers that stand in the way of Canadians impacted by blindness. Thank you for all the bold and innovative action you take in prevention and treatment of blindness through your eye care and surgical vision products. Together, we are working to enable Canadians impacted by blindness to live the lives they choose.”
