Occuity, a British MedTech company, has recently announced multiple distributor partnerships in Europe as it prepares for the upcoming release of its PM1 Pachymeter, the world's sole non-contact, handheld optical pachymeter. It enables swift measurement of corneal thickness in a matter of seconds, thereby facilitating the diagnosis of glaucoma.

“We are looking forward to introducing the PM1 to the market. Having completed successful clinical trials and submitted for CE certification, we are confident in its exceptional performance,” said Dan Daly, CEO of Occuity. “Through discussions with distributors across Europe, we believe there will be significant demand for the PM1 and have therefore carefully chosen partners who share our dedication to delivering exceptional ophthalmic devices.”

Occuity has formed a strategic partnership with Birmingham Optical, a reputable distributor recognized for its dedication to delivering high-quality products and fostering enduring collaborations.

“We are thrilled to partner with Occuity and be part of introducing the PM1 to the UK market,” said Amanda Higginbotham, Chief Commercial Officer at Birmingham Optical. “With their non-contact, handheld platform, Occuity have an exciting pipeline of future products including the AX1 Axiometer for Myopia Management, and we look forward to working with them.”

In addition, Occuity has secured distributor agreements with esteemed ophthalmic firms across several European nations. Noteworthy partnerships include E. Janach in Italy, bon Optic in Germany, Medilens for the Nordic countries, and Iogen Oy for Finland, Latvia, and Estonia.

Occuity is actively engaged in discussions with distributors to expand its coverage to include APAC (Asia-Pacific) and North American territories.
