Delegates from leading biotechnology companies are set to gather at iNovation® Day on 16 September, 2022 at the 40th Congress of the ESCRS. The first-of-its-kind event will take place at Milano Convention Centre starting from 8:30 until 15:30.
The iNovation® Day Programme will be held in 8 sessions, where clinical and business experts from around the world will share their ideas about the the most urgent clinical needs, barriers to success, regulatory changes and reimbursement trends in the ophthalmic field.
One of the most influential sessions in the program is the last panel discussion entitled ‘European industry leadership roundtable: visions for the next 5 years’ as renowned representatives from the major biotechnology companies will get together at 15:10 to discuss the projected 2023 innovations in the ophthalmic industry.
The 30-minute discussion will be led by Oliver Findl, President of ESCRS, and Rudy Nuijts, Professor of Ophthalmology, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Cornea Clinic and the Center for Refractive Surgery at the University Eye Clinic Maastricht in the Netherlands.
The industry panelists include Jeannette Bankes, President & GM Global Surgical Franchise at Alcon, Leo Mulder, Vice President Global Distributor Operations at Staar, Shervin Korangy, President and CEO at BVI Medical, Erin McEachren, Regional Vice President at Johnson & Johnson Vision, Efe Can, Global Innovation & Medical Affairs Director at VSY Biotechnology, and lastly Steven Schallhorn, Chief Medical Officer at Zeiss.
