OcuCell Receives Funding from the Georgia Eye Bank

OcuCell, a provider of ocular cell therapy, has announced funding from the Georgia Eye Bank. Established in 1961, the Georgia Eye Bank has contributed over 60,000 corneas for transplantation, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing vision and enriching lives through the transplantation of ocular tissue and cells.

The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Alongside this funding, Eric Meinecke, President, and CEO of the Georgia Eye Bank, will assume a position on the OcuCell Board of Directors, while William Barry Lee, MD, Co-Medical Director, will join the OcuCell Scientific Advisory Board.
